The PUT-2 Block is located in the southwest portion of the Caguan-Putumayo Basin, home to numerous exploration and development projects. The Caguan-Putumayo Basin is the northern extension of the Oriente Basin of Ecuador and is one of the oldest and most prolific medium to heavy oil basins in Colombia. Several prospects have been identified and mapped in this Block. The prospects that are located towards the northern portion of the Block are structurally related to the transition to the Foothills area and the prospects located further south are structurally related to the Foreland area. In 2011, the operator acquired 110 km2 of 3D Seismic and the first exploratory well will be drilled in 2013.
