Components include dredging at least 1.9Mm3, extending the north breakwater by 200m, building two land and two sea docks and a loading platform. The improvements will allow for 24-hour operations and enable the port to handle vessels up to 80,000t (560,000b crude) from 40,000t.
Recope\'s plans also envision a Pacific coast fuels terminal, which would act as an alternative entry point and help guarantee fuel supply when bad weather prevents ships from docking at Moín.
