Niscota Block is located in Colombia\'s Llanos Orientales basin and covers an area of 623-sq-km. It is operated by Equión Energía and owned by French oil company Total, Repsol and Hocol. As of 2013, two wells had been drilled: Hurón 1 and Hurón 2. The Huron prospect is located in the southern portion of the block and the Niscota Nueva prospect is in the northern portion. The latter will have an Ulamá exploratory well drilled by July 2016 to confirm the area\'s potential and the extension of the nearby Cupiagua and Cusiana fields. Niscota Nueva is expected to hold 100Mb of recoverable oil and significant amounts of condensate.
