CNO-8 “Puesto Guardian” licence is located in Salta Province, Argentina. Puesto Guardian is a prospective onshore licence block with existing oil production, and material upside potential through exploitation of reserve base and further exploration.The Puesto Guardian Concession is 622sq km and is located in the Noroeste Basin in NW Argentina. The area includes five fields; four of which are producing from the Cretaceous Yacoraite formation (depth 2400-3200m) with light, sweet crude that is trucked to a local refinery. In September 2015, President Energy converted its former Puesto Guardian Concession, in Salta Province, Argentina, which was due to expire in 2026, to a new Unconventional Concession for a term of 35 years expiring 2050.
