Project Profile

Value: $2,100 Million
Startup Year: 2013
Location: Block 6d, Straddles median, Block 2 Plataforma Deltana, offshore Trinidad & Tobago
Depth: approximately 300ft
Reserves: between 1.3 and 1.6 trillion cubic feet of gas

The Manatee gas field is located in Block 6D offshore Trinidad & Tobago. The field lies in approximately 300ft of water, to the northwest of the Chevron operated Loran field discoveries, off Venezuela. The gross reserves are estimated to be between 1.3 and 1.6 trillion cubic feet of gas. The Loran gas field straddles the two nations\' maritime border. Block 2 offshore Venezuela has estimated reserves of 10 trillion cubic feet. Around 70% of production belongs to Venezuela, while 30% belongs to Trinidad & Tobago, which already has the necessary gas infrastructure in place. A full-scale development plan for both sides would feature a proposed central processing facility and several satellite wellhead platforms, as well as export lines going to Venezuela and Trinidad. Gas from the project is planned to be used to fuel the Delta Caribe LNG project.
