The project will see the exploration of block BM-C-39, which covers an area of 109km² located 94km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the shallow waters of the Campos basin. The drilling of the OGX-25 well identified an oil column of 125m with approximately 116m of net pay. A drill stem test conducted in the area confirmed a production potential of 40,000b/d with an oil gravity of 23ºAPI. Other discoveries have been made in carbonate and sandstone reservoirs. Waikiki is one of OGX\'s priority development areas in the Campos basin and an evaluation plan for the block will soon be proposed to the Brazilian government. The definite production system for Waikiki is expected to include an FPSO with a capacity of 100,000b/d and two fixed platforms.
