Project Profile
Value: US$1,200 million
Start-up Year: 2012
Location: Block BC-60
Water Depth: 1,426 metres
Recoverable Oil and Gas: 1.5 billion-2 billion
The P-58 will work on the Baleia Azul field. Petrobras plans for the FPSO to work on the Baleia Franca, Baleia Ana and Cachalote fields at a later date. The P-58 FPSO will produce up to 180,000 barrels per day and will have a gas compression capacity of 6 million cubic metres per day on the Baleia Azul field, in the Campos basin, known as Whale Park – Parque da Baleia. The Parque das Baleias field is in an area formerly known as BC-60. Petrobras has a 100% stake in the field.
