The Presidente Bernardes Refinery in Cubatao, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, is one of the country\'s largest and produces over 12% of Brazil\'s fuel oils. While the refinery has undergone numerous expansions and updates, it is still one of the country\'s mainstays in fuel production and the industrial area in which it is situated is the largest centre for refining crude oil and producing chemicals in Brazil (45% of fuel comes from here). There have been numerous modifications and upgrades to the refinery, however the first real expansion, phase one, involved construction of sulphur recuperation unit and residual gas treatment units, which were completed 2010. Phase two includes engineering, procurement and construction of a diesel hydrotreater and a hydrogen plant, as well as all associated utilities.

Engevix Engeharia and Skanska: EPC - Sulphur recuperation unit and a residual gas treatment units for first phase of expansion (completed 2010)

Technip and Tomé Engenharia: EPC - Diesel hydrotreater and a hydrogen plant, as well as all associated utilities

Sulzer: Two Long-Term, exclusive, Supply Agreement Contracts for the supply of Structured Packings and Random Packings to all Petrobras Refineries in Brazil,as well as provision of technical services such as local process support and site supervision during installation.
