Construction of the Premium I refinery in Brazil\'s Maranhão state is currently underway. The facility, which is expected to be the largest in Latin America, will be able to process 300,000b/d. The project, along with the construction of other refineries in Brazil, aims to eliminate the need for oil imports. Premium I, initially due to come online in 2014, is scheduled to be ready in 2016.
The refinery will produce diesel, LPG and gasoline, among other products. Petrobras is planning to increase refining capacity to 2.27Mb/d in 2013 and 3Mb/d in 2020 from 1.78Mb/d in 2008.

Sulzer: Two Long-Term, exclusive, Supply Agreement Contracts for the supply of Structured Packings and Random Packings to all Petrobras Refineries in Brazil,as well as provision of technical services such as local process support and site supervision during installation.
