The Caipipendi block, where the Margarita and Huacaya fields are located, is operated by Repsol with a 37.5% stake, while partners Shell and Pan American Energy hold a 37.5% and 25% stake, respectively. The two fields currently produce 2 million cmd (70.5 million cfd), but output will rise to 8 million cmd with new investment. Repsol has announced the expansion of its new Margarita gas processing plant in the Tarija department in Bolivia with an investment of US$640m. In 2015, the Margarita-Huacaya project has concluded its third phase. The project has reached a record output of 19 million cubic metres of gas per day, equivalent to more than 30% of Bolivia\'s total. The development plan for the Margarita-Huacaya area, located in the department of Tarija in southern Bolivia, is a key project for Repsol. There are currently seven producing wells, with an additional one to come on stream before the end of 2015.
