Repsol YPF has invested 765,000 pesos (US$248,336) in its Luján de Cuyo refinery in Argentina to modernise security and fire safety equipment.

The investment includes the purchase of two new fire engines for small emergencies.

The Mendoza refinery has a processing capacity of 6.4 million cubic metres of oil a year, 18% of Argentina\'s total refining capacity.

YPF Argentina and Haldor Topsøe have signed two contracts for the production of hydrogen and ultra low sulphur diesel at the Lujan de Cuyo Refinery in Mendoza Province.
