Project Profile
Value: US$5,200 million
Location: Block BC-20, Campos Basin, Brazil
Water Depth: 1,200 m
Oil Reserves: 445 million bbl
Production: Net daily production in 2015 averaged 6,000 barrels of crude and 1 million cubic feet of natural gas.
Situated 70 miles (110 kilometres) offshore in water depths of approximately 3,937 feet (1,200 metres), Papa Terra is a heavy oil subsea development located within Block BC-20 of the southern Campos basin. It is estimated that the project will ultimately recover some 445 million barrels of heavy crude from the field of about 15 degrees API crude. Total reserves at the field are put at 1.88 billion barrels of oil. The project will be developed using a tension leg platform which will be connected to a FPSO. The facility will be capable of producing up to 140,000 barrels of crude per day. 29 wells will be drilled which will comprise of 19 producers and 10 water injectors. All dry completion wells will be linked to the P-61 TLWP through 14 inch rigid risers, while subsea wells will be connected to the P-63 FPSO through flexible risers.
