The Darling Downs Pipeline (DDP) also known as the Darling Downs Gas Pipeline or the Wallumbilla to Darling Downs Pipeline is a transmission pipeline owned and operated by Origin Energy. The DDP was constructed in 2009 and is 205km in length. It links the Wallumbilla gas hub near Roma with the Talinga gas plant near Chinchilla and Origin’s Darling Downs gas fired power station near Dalby in Queensland. Darling Downs Pipeline Network is responsible for the transportation of gas to Origin’s Darling Downs power station, Australia Pacific LNG facility on Curtis Island and the domestic market. Gas is sourced from the Talinga coal seam gas fields in the Bowen-Surat basin which are owned by Australia Pacific LNG. The DDP is an uncovered pipeline under the NGL and is therefore not subject to regulation under the NGR.
