Block WA-155-P is located about 50 km offshore Western Australia, where the water is approximately 70-190 metres deep. Block WA-155-P contains the Outtrim-1 oil discovery. The aim of the project is to discover and aggregate sufficient oil resources to underpin a field development. In 1999, INPEX acquired its interest in the block and subsequently engaged in exploration work with its block partners. In January 2016, INPEX Alpha, (subsidiary of INPEX Corp) sold all its participating interest (28.5%) in Block WA-155-P (Part 1) to Carnarvon Petroleum Ltd. The project is operated by Quadrant Energy who has an interest of 71.5% with Carvon Perloleum carrying the remaining 28.5% interest in the project.
