Lasseter is a gas and condensate field in the Browse Basin. Lasseter-1 encountered a gross gas and condensate column of 1,328 feet. Pressure and sampling data was able to confirm excellent mobility in sands of the Lower Vulcan formation. On August 2014 Santos and its partners in permit WA-274-P made a sizeable gas and condensate discovery while drilling the Lasseter-1 exploration well in the Browse Basin. The well reached a depth of 17,483 feet and encountered 78m meters of net pay in Jurassic-aged Lower Vulcan and Plover formations between 4,880 and 5,285 metres MDRT. This interpretation has been confirmed by pressure and sample data. Multiple independent hydrocarbon columns have been interpreted, including an estimated 250 meter column for the Lower Vulcan reservoirs. Pressure data and sampling confirmed excellent mobility in the Lower Vulcan sands and a condensate to gas ration of 10-25 bbls/MMscf. The permit joint venture is comprised of operator Santos (30%), Chevron (50%) and Inpex (20%).

Operators:
