Project Profile
Location: 50 kilometres south of the Myrtle sub-basin and 25 kilometres north of the Glyde-1 gas discovery, Glyde sub-basin of the McArthur basin, Northern Territory, Australia
Reserves: 264 billion cubic feet of mean prospective unrisked resources
Well Depth: 550 metres
Armour Energy has hit hydrocarbons shows at various intervals while drilling the Lamont Pass-3 exploration probe in Australia’s Northern Territory. The well, which is testing multiple targets from a single vertical well in the Glyde sub-basin of the McArthur basin, intersected live oil in fractures at a depth of 535 metres. It also encountered oil shows and background and connection gases at various other intervals, with core samples taken for further analyses. The well is currently at a depth of 550 metres and is drilling ahead towards further targets. Lamont Pass-3 lies 50 kilometres south of the Myrtle sub-basin and 25 kilometres north of the Glyde-1 gas discovery, which flowed up to 3.3 million cubic feet per day of gas in 2012. The Lamont Pass structure is one of 23 targeted areas that hold about 264 billion cubic feet of mean prospective unrisked resources within the Coxco Dolomit formation
