The Pindan Prospect is a simple anticline on trend with the Bee-Eater Prospect. The main objective is the Early Cretaceous Birdrong Sandstone sealed by the regional marine shales of the Muderong Shale and sourced by the organic rich marine shales of the Jurassic Dingo Claystone in the Paterson Trough. The Pindan Prospect is well defined by seismic and is ready to drill. After Empire upped its stake in the field the interest is as follows. Empire will now hold a 63% stake in the licence areas, while partners Australian Oil, Bounty Oil & Gas and Phoenix Resources will retain their 17%, 10% and 10% interests, respectively.
Operators:
Empire: Operator with 63% interest
