Todd Energy is the operator of the Mangahewa gas expansion project. The project includes the Mangahewa gas plant in Taranaki, on the west coast of New Zealand’s north island. The gas plant is part of Todd’s Mangahewa gas expansion project which is aimed at maturing 424 billion cubic feet of contingent resources from tight gas intervals into proven and probable reserves. The expansion project involves the drilling of 25 appraisal and development wells, the expansion of the gas processing facility, the installation of an additional gas export pipeline and the installation of additional gathering lines and wellsite facilities. The Mangahewa field lies about 18 kilometres southeast of New Plymouth, next to the McKee field, and prior to the expansion project had been developed with eight production wells and multi-phase flowlines to the McKee-Mangahewa production station. Todd holds a 100% operated interest in the Mangahewa field.
The Mangahewa Expansion Train 2 is Todd Energy\'s new gas production facility which is enabling the operator to significantly increase natural gas from the Mangahewa field.
