Project Profile
Value: Undisclosed
Location: North – Central section of the Niger Delta, Nigeria
Reserves: Unknown
Production: total production capacity of up to 7,000 bopd (May 2013)
Start-up Year: December 2009
Ebendo/Obodugwa Fields (OML 56) were awarded in the 2003 Marginal Field Bid Round. The two fields are located in the North – Central section of the Niger Delta, near Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta State in Nigeria. The partners in the project include Energia Ltd with 55% working interest and Oando Energy Resources with 45% working interest, who is also the operator of the fields. There are 4 wells that have been drilled within the license area. Production commenced in December 2009. There is a 6 inch diameter, 8.5km pipeline constructed and commissioned and two 10 mmbbls storage tanks were constructed as well. LACT unit was installed at the cluster gathering facility. Currently the production is approximately 1.7kbopd. Ebendo-4 well was also brought on production at 2,000 bopd in October 2012. Bringing the EB-4 well on stream boosted the combined gross production from the Ebendo field significantly to 4,000 bopd.
The production increase of 2,000 bopd (gross) is attributable to the tie in of the EB-4 well that was recently drilled and completed as a dual string producer, as announced on August 20, 2012. The two strings have a total combined production capacity exceeding 2,000 bopd (gross), with the short string having the capacity for producing in excess of 1,000 bopd (gross) and the long string having the capacity for producing the balance. As a result of the increase in production, the Ebendo Field currently produces 4,000 bopd (gross) from the two producing wells, EB-1 and EB-4. The field production capacity will be limited at 4,000 bopd (gross) for good reservoir management, whilst the field under goes further appraisal. Of the field\'s total gross production of 4,000 bopd. The future plans include drilling of an additional well and bringing on-stream an additional 2.5kbopd of production from the field by Q3.
The Abo Field produces 3,225 bbls/day into a floating, production, storage and offloading unit and has not been affected by the pipeline disruptions. The total production capacity in May 2013 has been up to 7,000 bopd.
