Empire had awarded Thistle Fabrication a pipeline construction contract which involves the welding, x-raying, pressure testing and burying of a three kilometre export pipeline. The pipeline will run from the Red Gully processing facility to the tie-in point to the Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline. Empire also handed out a notice of award to Primero Group for the construction contract to install the Red Gully gas and condensate plant. Lenane Holdings has won the earthworks contract related to the project, with Empire saying work at the site was already well advanced with gravel sheeting and compaction part of the current operations.
