The Queensland government announced final grant of title to ATP 732P exploration permit on April 1, 2011. The large block is offset by producing oil and gas fields. The block has completed 410 km 2D and 49 km2 3D seismic data and six locations targeted for drilling plus 5 additional prospects identified.
ATP 732 Tookoonookapermit is a Bengal 100% operated block which is in year 1 of 12 year exploration permit. The permit has total work commitments that include seismic and 1 well over the first 4 years. This large block (654,321 gross acres) is located in a great neighborhood ‐ offset by several substantial producing oil fields including the largest oil pool in the Cooper Basin (Jackson) as well as the second largest (Kenmore). The permit is also situated near two very good Permian gas tests (Vernon & Wareena) and is proximal to facilities infrastructure along the SE flank of the Cooper basin.
The plan:
Drill 3-6 wells targeting 4 play types
Securing equipment and personnel for the drilling program
Three firm exploration with three contingent multi-zone locations targeting four play types
