Chevron is moving ahead with plans to construct a fourth train at the US$37 billion Gorgon LNG project off the coast of Western Australia. At the end of 2010, its estimated total resource is almost 60 trillion cubic feet, which is enough gas to justify an expansion.
The capacity of the plant will have a further estimated 5 million tonnes per annum production facility.
There is also space for a further potential fifth train.
