Cheal is producing from the Miocene-aged, Mt. Messenger (~2,000 metres) and Urenui (~1,600 metres) formations. ongoing development and step-out drilling in the surrounding acreage has achieved a track record of drilling success, with most of the prospect-rich discovery acreage yet to be explored.
The Cheal A site is the location of the Cheal production facility, which was completed in September 2007 and began producing that month.
TAG has completed its first deep well, Cardiff-3, (~4,000 metres) appraisal well which discovered gas-condensates across a large hydrocarbon column in three separate zones.
