JAX LNG is a fully integrated Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility under construction to serve marine and land based markets. It is the first marine focused small scale LNG facility in North America. The project includes an initial liquefaction capacity of 120,000 gallons of LNG per day, 2 million gallons of on-site LNG storage, truck racks, a marine jetty and North America’s first LNG bunker barge. The project is a joint venture between Pivotal LNG and NorthStar Midstream, LLC, a midstream transportation company backed by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and Clean Marine Energy. The project has an anchor customer secured in TOTE Maritime, with a ten year contract. JAXLNG is expandable up to 360,000 gallons per day of production and is actively seeking additional customers. The facility is expected to be operational by end of 2017.
