The South Santa Cruz Field is located in the Mississippi Canyon Block 563 in the Gulf of Mexico. The project is a Miocene discovery made by DGE III in 2015 and reaches to a water depth of 1981.2 metres. Deep Gulf Energy is the operator of the project with 40.5% working interest in the field. The company plans to create a one or two-well subsea development, and it is being developed jointly with another discovery we made about six miles away called Barataria. The field will initially be developed with a single well tied back to the Blind Faith FPS. The well will be completed and brought on line in 4Q 2016 with plans to drill a second well to an adjacent fault block; an estimation of production to be about 15,000 bbl/d.
