Start-up Year:

Bear Paw Pipeline Corporation Inc. (Bear Paw), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (LNGL),is proposing to construct and operate a 62.5 km natural gas pipeline from Goldboro to the proposed Bear Head LNG liquefied natural gas(LNG) export facility in Point Tupper, Richmond County, Nova Scotia. The Goldboro to Point Tupper pipeline connects Bear Head LNG to the North American natural gas pipeline network. Bear Paw Pipeline Corporation is the operator of the project with a 100% interest.

A pipeline assessment corridor has been identified for routing purposes and focuses on public safety and minimization of impacts to the environment, landowners and stakeholders. This assessment corridor is approximately 100 metres wide for most of the length and wider in areas where additional engineering information is needed. The width required for the construction period will be reduced to approximately 35 metres in most areas. The pipeline corridor parallels an existing pipeline right-of-way wherever possible. The project will include a required compressor station to deliver specific natural gas pressure to Bear Head.
