The Stolt LNGaz Project is located in Quebec, Canada. The operator of the project is Stolt LNGaz, who plans to build the natural gas liquefaction facilities at the site of the Waterfront Industrial Park in Bécancour. The plant will consist of two liquefaction units and the project itself is estimated to have a value of more than US$600 million. A storage unit with a capacity of 50,000 m 3 of LNG and LNG loading facilities on the tankers will also be built. Overall the Stolt LNGaz Project aims to produce 500,000 tons of liquefied natural gas at the plant and to distribute the LNG, primarily via tankers, to Quebec businesses not connected to the existing natural gas distribution network, beginning in 2018.
