Located on Green Canyon Block 244 in deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Droshky field is situated in 2,900 feet (884 metres) of water about 137 miles (220 kilometres) southwest of Venice, Louisiana. Previously named \"Troika Deep,\" Droshky is wholly owned and operated by Marathon Oil. Drilled in April 2007 by the GSF Celtic Sea semisubmersible, the Droshky No.1 discovery well measured a total depth of 21,190 feet (6,459 metres) and intersected 250 feet (76 metres) of net oil pay. After encountering high-quality oil-bearing reservoirs, two sidetrack wells were immediately planned to commercialize the discovery. The first was a downdip sidetrack well, which intersected more than 600 feet (183 metres) of net oil pay. The second was a lateral sidetrack well, which encountered 300 feet (91 metres) of net oil pay. Both wells were drilled by Transocean\'s Henry Goodrich semisub. Another delineation and sidetrack well were drilled in 2008 to further define the field. With reservoirs in the Upper Miocene levels measuring 30-32 degree API, Droshky reserves are estimated at 80 to 90 MMboe. Production from the field commenced on July 19, 2010. The field is expected to produce at a peak rate of about 45,000 net boepd, down from the original rate of 50,000 net boepd.

Subsea 7: Subsea 7 conducted the engineering, fabrication and installation of two 580m (1900ft) 8\" risers, four termination pipeline end structures and two initiation pipeline end manifolds. The scope also included metrology, fabrication and installation of three rigid jumpers as well as
pre-commissioning of the entire Droshky pipeline system.
