The Boreal Pipeline is a 420 km, 12 inch diameter, high vapour pressure pipeline owned and operated by Williams. The pipeline transports the liquids processed at the Williams liquid extraction plant near Fort McMurray to the Redwater Fractionation and Storage Facility. In 2016 Inter Pipeline entered into an agreement to acquire the shares of The Williams Companies Inc.\'s and Williams Partners L.P.\'s Canadian natural gas liquids midstream businesses (\"Williams Canada\") for US$1.35 billion. The pipeline was expanded to the Redwater Olefinic Fractionator (ROF).
