The Soledad block, located 60km NNW of Poza Rica, Veracruz, Mexico has an acreage covering 125km2 and 186 operating wells. The area contains 3P reserves of 134Mboe. Soledad one of six fields being offered by Pemex, which is looking to boost production at Chicontepec. The fields - Pitepec, Soledad, Amatitlán, Miquetla, Humapa and Miahuapan - have estimated 3P reserves of more than 2.2Bboe, and the production contract at each block will run 35 years. In 2012, Petrolite de Mexico won the fee-per-barrel contract for the Soledad block in the country\'s onshore Chicontepec basin.
