Project Profile

Location: Mississippi Canyon blocks 738 and 782, US Gulf of Mexico, USA
Reserves: Between 50 and 220 MMboe gross
Drilling Depth: 5862.52 metres
Start-up Year: early November 2015

The Dantzler prospect is located in the US Gulf of Mexico in Mississippi Canyon blocks 738 and 782. The Ensco 8501 has been contracted to drill an exploratory well at the end of 2013. Targeted resources are estimated at between 50 and 220 MMboe gross. In December 2013, Noble Energy recently announced an oil discovery at its Dantzler prospect. The Ensco 8501 (UDW semisub) spud the well mid-September 2013 and drilled to a total depth of 5862.52 metres. Logging data suggests the well penetrated 120 net feet of oil pay in two high-quality Miocene reservoirs. Results at Dantzler prompted Noble to revise its gross resource estimate to between 55 and 95 MMboe from a pre-drill high of 220 MMboe. Noble Energy operates Dantzler with a 45 percent working interest. Additional interest owners are entities managed by Ridgewood Energy Corporation (including ILX Holdings II, LLC a portfolio company of Riverstone Holdings, LLC) with 35 percent and W&T Energy VI, LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of W&T Offshore Inc.) with 20 percent. Dantzler development expects first production by early November 2015.
