The Big Sandy Pipeline has market delivery capability of 0.17 Bcf/d of natural gas with access to the Huron Shale and Appalachian Basin. Spectra Energy Partners owns and operates the 68 mile, FERC-regulated, Big Sandy Pipeline in eastern Kentucky. Big Sandy Pipeline\'s interconnect with the Tennessee Gas Pipeline system links the Huron Shale and Appalachian Basin natural gas supplies to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets.
Big Sandy Pipeline further enhances SEP\'s portfolio of natural gas assets that generate steady, fee-based cash flows. Big Sandy Pipeline complements Spectra Energy Partners\' strategically located assets that connect diverse and emerging natural gas supplies to growing markets. EQT Corp. has sold the Big Sandy Pipeline to Spectra Energy Partners, LP for US$390 million in 2011. Big Sandy transports natural gas from the Langley, KY natural gas processing complex ultimately to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets.
