Project Profile

Location: From the South Peace region to the South Peace Pipeline and ultimately to Spectra Energy\'s McMahon Gas Plant in Taylor, British Columbia, Canada
Capacity: 200 MMcf/d of sour gas per day
Length: 34 kilometres (21.25 miles)
Start-up Year: - 2011

The Bissette Pipeline connects raw natural gas production in the South Peace region to the South Peace Pipeline and ultimately to Spectra Energy\'s McMahon Gas Plant in Taylor, BC. The 16 inch, approximately 34 kilometre (21.25 miles) Bissette Pipeline is intended to gather up to 200 MMcf/d of sour gas per day (up to 0.20% or 2000 ppm H2S) into Spectra Energy\'s South Peace Pipeline. The Bissette Pipeline began to flow on April 6 2011. The plant – which was approved by the National Energy Board (NEB) on January 31, 2011 – is being constructed in two phases. Each phase has a capacity of 100 million cubic feet (mmcf) per day of raw natural gas. Phase two construction started after the completion of phase one later this year and then should be in-service in the first quarter of 2013.
