The Clayton Johnson-3F well has hit oil pay while targeting the Fusselman formation in Borden County, Texas. The well, which is 12.5% owned by Tamaska and operated by Marshfield Oil & Gas, reached a total depth of 3,012.3 metres. Casing has been set and initial production is expected to start within 15 days. The Clayton Johnson-3F well had tested the Fusselman play on a structural and stratigraphic trap next to the CML Muleshoe Ranch-1 well, which has produced more than 124,000 barrels of oil to date. Tamaska’s well is also structurally higher but in the same reservoir as Raw Oil’s Raw-4 well, which has produced 35,800 barrels of oil in less than a year.
