Project Profile

Location: Approximately 140-150 kilometres southwest of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Oil battery capacity: 1,500 m3/day oil
Construction: 1981

The Brazeau North and Pembina North gas complexes are operated as a gathering and processing complex due to their close proximity and overlapping gathering systems. The numerous pipelines between the two plants allow for the offload of gas between the facilities. Brazeau North gas plant, located approximately 140 kms southwest of Edmonton, Alberta features propane refrigeration and the Pembina North gas plant, located approximately 7 kilometres northwest of the Brazeau North gas plant, features NGL recovery, acid gas injection and condensate stabilization. The raw inlet capacity is 1,220 103m3/day maximum, while the oil battery is around 1,500 m3/day oil. Sales gas is 1,220 103m3/day, natural gas liquids are 200 m3/day (via truck or pipeline) and the acid gas injection approximately 20 10m3/day. In addition, the connected Keyera gathering pipelines include Pembina North East GGS, Wolf Creek GGS, West GGS, Flow-Splitter GGS.

Both the Brazeau North and Pembina North gas plants were constructed in 1981 and they were acquired from Enerpro in 2004. Keyera Corp currently owns and operates both gas plants with 100% interest respectively. The last turnaround was in 2009, while the next turnaround is scheduled for 2013.
