The Chinchaga Gas Complex is located 185 km northwest of the city of Peace River and is comprised of numerous gas gathering pipelines, a gas sweetening processing plant, also includes dehydration and propane refrigeration and an oil transportation pipeline. Gas processing services include compression, sour gas sweetening (CO2 and H2S removal), water and hydrocarbon dew point control, and condensate stabilisation. The oil pipeline transports plant condensate and region produced crude oil to market. The raw inlet capacity is 4,118 103m3/day (145 mmscf/d), while the sulphur inlet maximum capacity is 0.96 tonnes/day. Chevron began plant operations in 1983. The plant currently has two main process trains and five compressor packages. The Chinchaga gas plant undergoes a major turnaround every four years and the next one is scheduled in 2014.
