The proposed Bakken Crude Express Pipeline (BCEP) is a 1,300 mile crude-oil pipeline with the capacity to transport 200,000 barrels per day of light-sweet crude oil from the Bakken Shale in the Williston Basin in North Dakota to the Cushing, Okla., crude-oil market hub. Oneok Partners LP launched an open season for the Bakken Crude Express Pipeline. Scheduled to conclude Nov. 20, 2012 the open season provides potential shippers the opportunity to execute long-term contracts in exchange for priority service. Construction of the BCEP system tentatively is slated to begin in early 2014 with completion by mid 2015.
