The 8’inch Great Salt Plains Pipeline project stretches 115 miles from Cherokee to Cushing, both in Oklahoma, with a maximum capacity of 27,000 barrels per day capacity as of November 2014, which could be expanded to 40,000 bpd. It is fed oil from the Mississipian Lime formation underlying northern Oklahoma and Kansas, and includes a trucking operation and storage at Cushing with 700,000 bpd capacity.

Wichita-based MVP Holdings owns the Great Salt Plains Pipeline after buying it in February 2016 for an undisclosed sum from JP Energy Development, which in turn inherited the pipeline after acquiring Parnon Gathering in August 2012.
