The Yucatan North prospect is located on Walker Ridge Block 95 in 1,812 m of water in the Gulf of Mexico. Shell acquired Walker Ridge Block 95 at the Central GOM Lease Sale No. 205 in 2007, and wholly owns and operates the prospect. Transocean\'s Deepwater Nautilus semisub commenced drilling operations in the Yucatan North prospect within the Shenandoah mini basin in August 2012. Yucatan North is a subsalt prospect with a proposed measured depth of 9,754 m. Drilling operations are expected to take approximately 200 days.
