The Ocean Yorktown is a 3rd gen semi-submersible drilling rig managed by drilling contractor Diamond Offshore. This MODU is rated to drill in water depths of up to 3,000 ft. The MW floater is rated to achieve a maximum total drilling depth of approximately 25,000 ft. and can accommodate about 90 crew members. Station keeping is achieved via a conventional mooring system. The semi was delivered in 1976. Built on a F&G SS-2,000 semisubmersible design template, this rig was constructed at the Avondale shipyard in the US.
The Ocean Yorktown rig is now retired. (May 2015)
