The Navajo Refinery can process heavy, sour and light, sweet crude oils and runs a predominant slate of Permian Basin crudes that are gathered in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. The refinery can also source a variety of crude oils from Cushing, Oklahoma including Canadian crudes. The Navajo refinery serves markets in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The 100,000-b/d Navajo refinery is located at Artesia.

KP Engineering LP (KPE): Contract to deliver detailed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a gasoline hydrotreater to be built at the 100,000-b/d Navajo refinery at Artesia, NM. KPE will perform EPC services for both inside and outside-battery limits portions of the project, which proposes the addition of a 17,000-b/d hydrotreater equipped with Axens North America Inc.’s proprietary Prime G+ process technology. The hydrotreater is scheduled to be commissioned during first-quarter 2017. (October 2015)
Elliott Group (subsidiary of Ebara Corp.): Contract to supply compression equipment as part of a project designed to enable cleaner fuel production at Navajo refinery. Elliott will build and deliver a hydrogen recycle unit that includes its proprietary 15MB7 vertical-split compressor, as well as motor and gear, which KP Engineering LP (KPE), Tyler, Tex., will use in its build of a 17,000-b/d gasoline hydrotreater at the refinery.
