The 500,000 Mc/d import terminal, built and owned by a consortium of Samsung and Mitsui, each with a stake of 37.5%, and Kogas, with 25%, is the third of its type in Mexico. KOGAS is conducting the Manzanillo LNG Re-gasification Terminal Project including investment and Terminal O&M, and has implemented several Technical Services (Commissioning, Training, and Technical Consulting including FEED) and has been implementing Technical Services in Thailand, Singapore and China.

The terminal is built on an 860,000ha site located in the city of Manzanillo in the state of Colima along the mid-western coast of Mexico.The terminal consists of: two 150,000㎘ storage tanks; an LNG gasification and delivery facility with an annual capacity of 3.8 million tons; and a jetty (port facility for ships to dock and unload LNG). The project is worth around US$900 million.

Whessoe: Executed the detailed tank design of the two 150,000m3 full containment LNG storage tanks. (2012)
