Project Profile

Value: US$275 million
Location: Western Canada

The proposed project is an above ground, two million barrel crude oil batch accumulation terminal with tankage and pipeline infrastructure that could be expanded subject to the level of interest received in this open season. The proposed project will provide new infrastructure for Western Canadian producers and access to the Keystone Pipeline System.

Blended heavy crude oil from the production fields and synthetic crude oil from Husky\'s upgrading operations are moved to Hardisty, Alberta, to connect with the Enbridge, Express, Keystone and InterPipeline Fund pipelines.

The Hardisty Terminal is located within an important crude oil transportation hub that provides both of our stream and merchant customers with diverse terminalling services, which include truck loading and offloading, blending and storage. With 3.1 million barrels of storage, our terminal is fully connected and can receive crude volumes from Enbridge as well as other major pipelines in the Hardisty area.

The Hardisty terminal handles a range of products, from light and synthetic to blended heavy crude oil, and accounts for approximately 25% of total crude oil exports from Western Canada.
