The 160-km pipeline, estimated to cost US$170 million, will be constructed in two phases. In the first phase, it will initially move gas from an interconnection with the Esperanza–Venta de Carpio gas pipeline in Tlaxcala to Morelos. In the second phase, the pipeline will be extended from the same interconnection to the Cempoala–Santa Ana pipeline in Tlaxcala. Commercial operations of phase one are scheduled to commence in October 2012. Phase two operations are scheduled to commence in June 2013. The pipeline is expected to have an eventual transport capacity of 320 MMcf per day. It will have a contract term of 25 years.

Operators:

Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE): Owner with 100% interest

Operator of the pipeline:

Enagás: 50% interest
Elecnor: 50% interest

Contractors:

Enagás and Elecnor carry out all engineering, construction and operating functions
