The Gomez field is located in 2973 ft of water in block 711. There are an estimated proven reserves of 100 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent, plus probable and possible reserves.

The project will see a two phased subsea development plan using modified older semi-sub drilling unit.

Phase 1: ATP will re-enter and complete 2 wells as subsea producers tied back to semisub. Due onstream March 2006.

Phase 2: ATP will re-enter additional 2 wells and complete in same manner as Phase 1.
Expected to prcess 60 mmcfg/d and 20,000 b/d oil.

There will be an 8\" oil pipeline and 10\" gas pipeline will carry production away for 27 miles. First production Q1 2007.

DECOMMISSIONING

Platform decommissioning activities at the Gomez field in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico were completed in 2014. Acteon subsidiary InterMoor was contracted to remove the Innovator floating production unit (FPU) from its location in 3,000 feet of water in Mississippi Canyon Block 711. Work scope involved disconnecting 10 risers, umbilicals and 12 mooring lines and towing the FPU to Ingleside, Texas. InterMoor was chosen, in part, to complete the task because of its detailed knowledge of the Innovator. In 2006, InterMoor received a contract from former operator ATP to design and install the mooring system for the vessel and complete hookup and commissioning duties. Again in 2011, the company was called upon by ATP to carry out mooring inspections and upgrades. ATP was forced to abandon the field in 2013 after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
