The Vito prospect is located on Mississippi Canyon Blocks 984 and 985 in the Gulf of Mexico in a water depth of 4,206 feet (1,282 metres). Shell serves as the operator and holds a 55% working interest; Anadarko holds a 20% working interest; and Statoil holds the remaining 25% working interest. The field has around 200m boe of resources and a 100,000 boe/d production potential. The Vito well is located in Mississippi Canyon block 984, about 70 kilometres southwest of the Thunder Hawk field.
