Project Profile
Location: Coatzacoalcos/Nanchital region, state of Veracruz, Mexico
Capacity high-density polyethylene:450,000 tonnes per year
Capacity linear low-density polyethylene :350,000 tonnes per year
Capacity low-density polyethylene:200,000 tonnes per year
The project includes construction of a cracker which will produce 1M tonnes per year of ethylene and three integrated polymerization units which will produce 450,000 tonnes per year of high-density polyethylene, 350,000 tonnes per year of linear low-density polyethylene and 200,000 tonnes per year of low-density polyethylene. The complex will use 66,000 tonnes of ethane per day, which will be provided by Pemex.
The project will supply Mexico\'s domestic market. Two plants will form part of the Etileno XXI complex, producing a full range of monomodal and bimodal high density and medium density polyethylene resins with a total capacity of 750 KTA.
