Project Profile

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) plans to install three networks of intermediate manifolds and flowlines under the Manifold Group Trunkline Project in its North Kuwait Operations Zone to transport increased crude production from the northern oilfields to three new gathering centres – 29, 30 and 31 – which are under construction respectively by Petrofac, Larsen & Toubro and Dodsal Group following engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract awards in 2014. Each will handle 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil, 240,000 bpd of water and 240 million cubic feet per day of gas.

The North Kuwait Operations Zone produces about 700,000 bpd of oil and includes the Raudhatain, Sabriya, Ratqa, Umm Niqa and Abdali fields. KOC plans to increase production from the zone to 1 million bpd by 2020 through development of heavy oil and Jurassic reserves.
