Project Profile
Location: Habshan, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Total capacity: 2,150 mmscfd
Start-up Year: -
Habshan and Bab Gas Complex produces Network Gas that is delivered directly to end-users. It also produces Natural Gas Liquids (NGL), Condensate and Liquid Sulphur.
NGL is transferred to the Ruwais Plant for fractionation, while condensate is piped to TAKREER refineries for processing. Liquid sulphur, a production by-product, is granulated and exported. Due to the proximity of the two plants Habshan and Bab were grouped into one single entity in 2001 after the merger between Gasco and Atheer.
The Habshan 5 Process Plant is designed to process 1,000 mmscfd offshore gas from Umm Shaif and additional 1,000 mmscfd onshore gas comprising of a mix of associated gas from ADCO (1.8mbpd Expansion) and non-associated high sour gas from Habshan fields. The facilities are designed to produce 750 mmscfd sales gases, 12,000 tpd NGL and 5,200 tpd sulphur.
