Project Profile
Location: 45 km offshore in the Gulf, UAE
Production: 106 billion cubic feet of gas and 14 million barrels of condensate (cumulative production since start-up)
Start-up Year: 1984
Saleh field is a 7-well, 6-platform facility with interconnected pipelines and export line, located 45 kilometres offshore in the Gulf in UAE. Producing oil and gas since 1984, the field peaked at approximately 70 million cubic feet per day of gas and 13,000 barrels per day of condensate in 1986; production has since declined due to pressure depletion and water breakthrough. Following a Field Development Study, DNO believes the field has unrealized potential. A total of 106 billion cubic feet of gas and 14 million barrels of condensate have been produced from the Wasia reservoir from seven wells through six existing wellhead platforms. The field has continued to produce small volumes of gas through an 18-inch pipeline to shore. The Thamama reservoir is a proven, producing reservoir in the Saleh field that remains largely untapped.
